Selbstverständlich gibt es noch Leute die kein Englisch können!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Noch extremer ist die bedauerlicher Tatsache das eine ganze Menge Deutscher kein Deutsch können.

i have seen sites of grapestomping, in america they do it every year with wine festivals, but here in europe it`s hardly unknown. it must be great to step in a barrel of grapes and stomp it with bare feet. the feeling of the juice between your toes must be wonderful.. so, why don`t we do this in europe??

Ich habe Seiten mit Omasindengrabenstoßen gesehen, in Amerika tun die das jedesmal bei Wein-Festivals, aber hier in Europa ist diese Härte unbekannt. Es muß großartig sein, mit einem Barren auf Großmütter einzustoßen mit baren Füßen. Das Gefühl des Saftes zwischen deinen Zehen muß wundersam sein. So, warum tun wir das nicht tun in Europa tun?

das Ausgangsposting beklagt, dass es in Europa fast unbekannt ist, Trauben zum Keltern barfuß zu zertstampfen, während dies in Amerika im Rahmen von Weinfesten üblich sei.

Bernds Antwort ist, dass er vermutet, dass es dies in Europa sehr wohl gäbe, da der Weinanbau ja hier seinen Ursprung hat. Er empfiehlt, einfach mal ein bisschen danach zu suchen.

[Das "Traubenstampfen" oder "-treten", Fachbegriff hierfür ist "pigeage" dient übrigens nicht nur dem Auspressen der Reben, sondern in erster Linie dem Untermischen des sog. Tresterhuts, der ansonsten oben auf der Maische schwimmt, ohne dass sich die im Trester enthaltenen Geschmacksstoffe entfalten können. Heute wird dies tatsächliuch i. d. R. maschinell erledigt. M. W. gibt es aber noch Anbaugebiete in Frankreich und Portugal, wo man in geringem Umfang diese Tradition aufrecht erhält sowie Anbaugebiete in Osteuropa, wo man mangels technischer Vorrichtungen es ebenfalls noch so praktiziert.]

As for grapestoming in Europe, I strongly assume it is still being practised, as wine cultivation originally goes back to European culture. There must be some grapestomping in Italy, France, Spain, and even other countries in southern Europe, I believe. Getting appropriate information is only a matter of investigation.
